T’arīkh-i Bayhaq , a Summarized Work

T’arīkh-i Bayhaq is a unique work in local history of Iran, about which various researches have been written on its introduction and editing. Nevertheless, so far no research has been done on the existence of quotations from T’arīkh-i Bayhaq in the latter centuries and the lack of this topic in the extant copies of this book. By extracting the explicit quotations of the sources from T’arīkh-i Bayhaq , the present research has clarified this book’s being a summary, the amount of the summarized topics, and the approximate time of its summarization. Moreover, this research has presented a new analysis of the time this work has been written.
