Abstract:
SPP propeller is a new and inferior invention in high speed craft system that has been studied by many scholars and researchers. In this study, the hydrodynamics of the Olofsson propeller, which is of great importance among designers and researchers in this field, has been investigated and analyzed in order to scrutinize and clarify the behavior of these types of propeller. For this reason, a numerical work is done theoretically, as well as an experimental activity in the laboratory. The numerical analysis of Ansys_CFX software is based on a limited volume method. Using the obtained results, Olofsson hydrodynamic diagrams were drawn up and discussed. It should be noted that numerical results have been accurately compared to the experimental results of Olofsson. The turbulence model SST. k-ω is also used for numerical analysis.
