Wellbeing of the Mind, a Matter of Culture: A Critique of Arabic Lexicons and Expressions in Shahnameh

The lates t comprehensive and detailed research on the recognition, description, and the etymology of the Arabic lexicon of Shahnameh is the dictionary of Arabic words and Expressions of Shahnameh, written by Dr. Sajjad Aydanlou. This book is based on the second edition of the Correction of the Khaleghi Motlagh Shahnameh (1393) which is the mos t authoritative correction and the closes t to the original form of Ferdowsi’s poems. The book has several advantages over other similar
publications in this field, which are described in the article. However, there are several mis takes in the recognition of the Arabic words, their difference from other words in branches of Sami languages as well as the dis tinction of Arabic words from Mu’arrab words. The following is a revision and review of the roots and the etymology of a fraction of the Arabic words and combinations, and the Mu’arrab words of Shahnameh in an attempt to determine the jus tified position of those words.
