This Is Not the Way of the Wise

Recently, Negah Publication has issued a new correction of Manouchehri’s Book of Poems by Saeed Shiri. In many cases, the author has attempted to use a deductive method for corrections or base his sugges tions upon exis ting manuscripts. In this way, he has tried to refine the text from dis tortions and verbalizations, but by neglecting several linguis tic and lexical points (such as the known and unknown ی “” and Mo’jam/Persian “ ذ” and…) has made mis takes in a number of cases, some of which are discussed in this article. This article also explores the method by which the new correction of Manuchehri‘s Book of Poems is revised. It is shown here that although in some aspects the present version may be more reliable than previous records of the book, but since the methodology chosen by the author is not well suited to the text, in mos t cases the reader can ques tion and reject the new corrections.
