The role of interpersonal factors affecting shift worker wellbeing Construction and validity workplace interpersonal comfort scale

the present research aims to identify the effective factors on wellbeing of shift workers based on interpersonal comfort. This study is descriptive - correlational and an applied research. The population included shift workers of an industrial company from Ahvaz in the spring of 96. Initial data were collected through targeted sampling and interviews with 38 shift workers with a history of over 10 years. 48 items were extracted from interviews. To examine the factor structure and structural validity, a sample of 300 people, a randomized stratified sampling was used and the questionnaire was distributed among them. The data were analyzed using exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis. The findings of the exploratory factor analysis revealed nine factors including supervisor empathy, fair decision making, fit expectations, recognition, responsibility and skill co - worker, clear communication, independence on schedule and professional support. The results of confirmatory factor analysis showed that the designed model is suitable for use in industrial environment.
