Analysis of the digital divide among socioeconomic groups The cases of citizens of Kianpars, Golestan and Ameri districts in Ahvaz

The aim of present study is assess the digital divide among socioeconomic groups and also indicate role of ICT in the quality of life of citizens of Kianpars, Golestan and Ameri districts in Ahvaz. This research has been carried out with a descriptive - analytical method. The information needed to conduct this research was collected by the application of survey and Library method. The statistical population of research included citizens of Kianpars, Golestan and Ameri districts. Random stratified sampling method has been used in this study. Therefore, the sample size that calculated by using 'Cochran' formula is 340 persons. The data and information were analyzed by using SPSS and EXCEL. The findings show that particular groups of citizens or users of ICT in the areas studied proportional to the employment, income, age and education base have skilled more than other groups and there are significant mean differences in the use of ICT. But in terms of gender and marital status between men and women in terms of " ICT skills " also use of ICT there are no significant mean differences. In addition ICT has a positive and significant relationship with level of quality of life in these districts.
