Investigating the relationship between using cyberspace with depression, family intimacy and life satisfaction

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between using cyberspace with depression, family intimacy and life satisfaction in Kermanshah home women. The research population is Kermanshah Housewives and Cochran formula sampling method. Using Cochran formula, 170 subjects were selected as sample. The research tool was Beck Depression Inventory (1961), Diner Life Satisfaction Questionnaire (1985), Intimate Inventory Walker and Thompson (1988), Young's Internet Addiction Questionnaire (1988). The results showed that Internet usage was 21.7%. There was a significant difference between normal users and users using the cyberspace problem, in terms of general depression, and also the sad components and physical discomfort, self-negative notion, nausea, self-sin, leanness and isolation. The use of cyberspace problem is one of the major risk factors for women's home health. And increases the risk of depression in women at home. Hence, cognitive-behavioral interventions are necessary to change the patterns of problem use from cyberspace to its safe use, to prevent mood disorders in young people.
