Levels of East Azarbaijan province cities based on environmental health indicators

Health indicators measure a community based on their health indicators and measure the health among the population according to the trends in these indicators over time, and they are considered as the main component of the sustainability of a community. In the context of the health issue, the provision, maintenance, and promotion of health should constantly be considered as a goal, that is, it should always be across-the-board and comprehensive in its health. The aim of this study was to investigate the environmental and health components of East Azarbaijan province. The research methodology is descriptive-analytic and is an applied research method. The statistical data of the Statistical Yearbook of Statistics of 1390 for the province of East Azarbaijan consists of 22 variables. After collecting information, the data were analyzed by Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), the weighting of the indicators was done through entropy. The results obtained from the ranking of 20 provinces throughout the country show that the cities of Tabriz and Osku are among the healthiest cities, and the cities of Ajabshir, Malekan, and Varzaghan are at the lowest level and are among the deprived cities in terms of health components. At the end of the study, the research hypotheses were analyzed in SPSS software using Pearson's correlation coefficient. By increasing the population and employment rate of each city, the level and level of environmental health index increased, indicating a direct and significant relationship between them.
