Analysis of quantitative and qualitative indices of housing in Ahvaz city and prediction of required housing up to the horizon of 1400

Housing is one of the most basic human needs and is considered one of the acute problems of developing countries. The weakness of economic management, the lack of housing planning, and the accelerated growth of urban populations have made housing in Iran a problem; hence, paying attention to issues and improving the quality and quantity of housing can make planning and decision making in this section. Facilitate The purpose of this research is to investigate the status of the quantitative and qualitative indicators of housing in Ahvaz city and its comparison with other urban areas of the country, as well as prediction of land and housing required by this city until 1400. The research method is descriptive-analytical based on library resources, population and housing censuses, Ahwaz Statistical Yearbook and field data. The results of this research show that during the period of 1345-1390, the quality and quantity indices of Ahwaz have improved, but in some cases, compared with other urban areas of the country, is in lower rank. In this study, the population and the number of households in the city are projected to by 1400, and it is estimated that during this period 119404 new residential units and 10268744 square meters of land will be needed.
