Eurasian Policy of Iran, Islamic Revolution and Foreign Policy

On the eve of the 40th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, the study of its foreign policy achievements in the Central Eurasia region is an important issue.  We can divide this forty-year times into two periods: the first decade and the time of the Soviet Union; and the next three decades and the post-Soviet era.  In the first period, the era of revolution and imposed war by Iraq, the Eurasian region within the framework of the Soviet Union and the Eastern bloc was considered a closed and impenetrable region. But with the end of the war and the beginning of the period of economic reconstruction in Iran and the transformation of its foreign policy, the Eurasia region was also a new geopolitical arena for the presence, influence and role playing of Iran, which Iran was engaging in with a pragmatic policy.The main question of this article is that how Iran's foreign policy in the Central Eurasia region has evolved over the trend of these four decades, changed, implemented and what has been the results? The idea presents in this article is that in the first period of Iran's politics, it was formed with an ideological and macro-attitude toward the Soviet Union, but in the second period, more pragmatic, within the framework of a multi-sectoral policy and for regional stability, economic relations and influence Cultural continued, and this region has become an important opportunity for its acting. To study this idea, I have tried to clarify the theoretical and conceptual foundations first. Then I will describe the situation in the Eurasia region and then, explain the principles, developments, and functions of Iran's foreign policy and its achievements.
