Relationship between parenting styles and Parent's Marital Satisfaction with Behavioral Disorders in karaj Primary School Students

Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between parenting styles and parent's marital satisfaction with behavioral disorders of karaj primary school students. For this purpose, 380 students (168 boys and 212 girls) were selected by multistage cluster sampling method from karaj primary school students who were studying in the academic year of 2016-2017. The research method is correlation type and the research tools were parenting styles, marital satisfaction and behavioral disorders questionnaires. For data analysis, Pearson correlation coefficient and regression analysis were used. The results showed that Students' behavioral disorders have a significant negative correlation with marital satisfaction and authoritative parenting style but a positive and significant relationship with Permissive and authoritarian parenting styles. In addition, the authoritative parenting style is the best predictor of child behavioral disorders and In general, parenting styles and marital satisfaction can predicted 24% of the variance of behavioral disorders.
