Hafez is one of the most skilled Persian poets that by combination of love and mysticism created effective and unique lyrics in his own time and later times to date. His poetry expresses mysticism, thoughts, internal emotions and thinking of his age. In the light of this we can perceive mystical vision through his poetry. St. Augustine also is a famous writer of the West and one of the most prominent Christian Gnostics who reflected his attitudes, thoughts and feelings into his work, especially the Book of Confessions. Studying works of these two outstanding characters can reveal harmony and empathy of the spirits and souls of the mystics, although they lived far apart, at the different time and place. This show that the lives of mystics are unique and every one call the same God, though time and place make distance between them.
