Deoband School and Salafism are in two different paths. One the main differences between the two is lays in interpreting the meaning of Islam and faith. In this article, the writer tries to mention the similarities and differences of these schools in this case in a descriptive-analytic method. We can summarize the finding as the following: Deoband School as the Hanafi and Matoridi School maintain that verbalizing the Shahadatain is enough for entering in the realm of Islam. Moreover, for having a complete faith we must have an in-depth belief. They also believe that we can divide Islam in two broad categories: minimum Islam and maximum Islam. In defining the Islam Salafi school is similar to Deoband school. However, in defining the faith are different. Salafi School maintain that in having faith we must practice the faith. But by scrutinizing in the Holy Quran we can say that in Quran faith is not tied to practice.
