The prediction of attitudes toward infidelity based on sexual satisfaction, marital quality relationship and marital satisfaction young married women
The purpose of this study was to prediction of attitudes toward infidelity based on sexual satisfaction, marital quality relationship and marital satisfaction young married women. The descriptive- correlation method was used. The statistical population consists of all the young married women referring to counseling and psychological services centers in Tehran city in year 2018-2019. In this study, according to convenience sampling method, 150 young married women by formula Plant of Tabachnick & Fidell (2007) were selected as samples and they were asked to fill in the attitudes toward infidelity scale of Whatley (2008), sexual satisfaction scale for women of Meston & Trapnell (2005), dyadic adjustment scale for use with distressed and nondistressed couples of Busby. Crane, Larson & Christensen (1995) and marital satisfaction scale Enrich of Olson, Fournier & Druckman (1987). The data were analyzed by tests of Pearson correlation and multivariate regression. Findings showed that there was negative significant correlation between sexual satisfaction, marital quality relationship and marital satisfaction young married women with attitudes toward infidelity (P<0/01). Regression analyses also revealed that %72/7 of variance of attitudes toward infidelity was explained by sexual satisfaction, %53/5 was explained by marital quality relationship and %35/3 was explained by marital satisfaction. This study confirmed the significant contribution of sexual satisfaction, marital quality relationship and marital satisfaction young married women on attitudes toward infidelity
