Standardization of driving psychology scale with emphasis on the theory of question Answer: Application of Multidimensional

Driving psychometric scale is designed to measure amount of anxiety and aggressive behaviors while driving with cars. The purpose of this study was done with the aim to investigate the psychometric properties of this scale as a tool for measuring the amount of anxiety and aggressive behaviors of drivers.

The statistical population of this study was all taxi drivers in Tehran, 300 of which were selected as sample in accessible manner. The research instrument consisted of the Psychology Scale of Driving, the Psychological Disorders Symptom Checklist (SCL-90), and the rate of driving violations in the sample group in the last three months. To evaluate the psychometric properties were determined to content validity, criterion validity, construct validity as well as reliability.

Content validity was obtained and approved by five experts by an agreement coefficient of 0.62. Regarding criterion validity, the correlation between the scores of the subscales with the rate of violations of the last three months was 0.39 and 0.42 and with subscales scores of SCL-90 were obtained 0.48 and 0.53, which were significant at the level of 0.01. In the exploratory factor analysis, the questions were loaded on two factors and confirmed the confirmatory factor analysis of this two-factor model. The internal consistency between questions, factors and the whole scale was appropriate.

The results of the analysis of the multidimensional graded response model was indicated the fitting of the model to the data and the optimum value of the model parameters, which provided a high degree of awareness for the scale.
