A Comparative Study on the Effect of Linum usitatissimumon and Rosa domascena hydro-alcoholic extracts on Different Liver Factors in Adult Male Rats
The Linum usitatissimum and Rosa domascena are highly therapeutic. In this study, the effect of different doses of these two herbs on liver and serum glucose activity was investigated.
In this experimental study, 42 male rats were divided into 6 groups. The control group or group 1 received only sufficient water and food, groups 2 and 3 were 300 and 500 mg / kg respectively of Linum usitatissimum extract, and group 4 and 5 were 500 and 1000 mg / kg, rosa domascena and group 6, 100 mg / kg of Linum usitatissimum extract with 250 mg / kg rosa domascena extract received intraperitoneal for 28 days. After the last injection, the mice were weighed and blood samples collected. The parameters were calorimetric and using spectrophotometer, measurements were performed using ANOVA and Tukey tests in SPSS Version 18 were analyzed at the significant level (P <0.05).
There was a significant difference between total protein and albumin of the groups receiving the Rosa domascena compared with the control group (P <0.05).
Finding that Linum usitatissimum and Rosa domascena have no negative effect on the various activities of the liver. The probability of occurrence of diarrhea effects on total protein and serum albumin in Rosa domascena should be considered. Considering the different effects of different doses of Linum usitatissimum on glucose, you should consider the serum glucose status of the patient.
