The Confucius poetry and music is overflowing with attention to jen, a poetry and music that reports people’s great sadness and happiness. And it is a meaningful means that joins the individual to society, and has a coordinated impact on his upbringing. As Plato regards music as an effort to harmonize individual’s soul to the living world, Confucius considers music not only as a valuable tool, but also as a tool affecting all aspects of the human existence, and explains its aim as reading the jen that rescues him from every kind of anxiety and fear.What is presentable in Confuciu's artistic thoughts, is that he understood the balanced emotions and needs of men and women, and he is actually representing a balance that prevented extreme pleasure- seeking unbound pleasure and senseless mortification, and as a grand genius presented the temperance and avoided the inner disorganization for human beings. In reality, Confucius denied every kind of extremism in poetry and music and considered it a tool for the extermination of man and society. By virtue of this attitude he favored balance and temperance that had a rational basis. Otherwise, he regarded it as a desperate crisis for humanity. He said, I abhor the poetry and music that shake the nerves … and accompanies death and annihilation … oh! I want to escape from here until the end of life.
