Influence of social trust on the sense of social security of citizensClients to prosecutors in Zahedan City

Social trust is one of the most important components of social capital andthe formation foundation of social relations and development of a society andits reduction and increase can signifcantly influence the sense of social security.Accordingly, this study investigates the effect of social trust on the sense of securityamong citizens of Zahedan City. Research population of the study consisted ofplaintiffs who referred to the Public Prosecutor's Offce in the second half of 2017inZahedan, who had experience of working with the police and attending a policestation, who were estimated to be 1000 individuals in average. According to Morgan’stable and simple random sampling, 278 individuals were selected as subjects. Thecontent validity of the questionnaires was confrmed by experts’ opinions and thereliability of social trust and citizens’ sense of security questionnaires were calculatedto be 0. 91 and 0. 92, respectively. Data analysis showed that the effect of social truston citizens’ sense of security is 0. 993. That is, for a unit of change in social trust, achange of 0. 993 in the sense of citizens 'security is created, meaning that social trustis an appropriate explanation for citizens' security. According to the results, zahedanpolice can provide grounds for citizens’ sense of security by increasingsocial trust.
