The Mission of the Women Biographer Attar Alvavly

In the literature, there are a few books, including works of Attar written on the essence of being a woman which have moved beyond her human status. Women have appeared in various roles in works of Attar poetry and prose. In this article, the status of women and their roles are examined through a multidimensional perspective in Tazkirat al-Awliya. In the sections on mysticism and love Rabia Basri was mentioned. In other sections, anecdotes from different parts of Tazkirat al-Awliya have been selected to grasp the ideas of this intellectual Sheik sixth century on women, interpretation of womanhood, their human status and their roles in the society. Obviously, through his favor, Attar had fully identified women superior character in the history of Iran, Islam and mysticism.
