Study of nano-Ag coating performance of three and nine months on Fouling reduction of fish cages in Ayush dam of Khorramabad
Biofouling are one of the largest global problems in cage culture. The present study was conducted to evaluate effect of three and nine months of nano-Ag coatings on the reduction of fouling fish cages of rainbow trout in Ayush dam of Khorramabad. The samples were collected from net panels that located at a depth of one meter from the side of the fish culture cages. In this study 3 genera of green algae and diatom were identified. Results showed that there was a significant difference between 3 month and 9 month nano treatment and no significant difference between control-3 month and nano-9 month treatment. According to the results, it was found that nano silver coating can have a protective effect of Fouling deposition for 9 months. Due to washing cage nets in this area, it can be suggested to use nano-Ag coating which helps to reduce costs, time and stress to fish.
