The Relationship between Emotional Intelligence and Time Management among the Mangers of IAU to Present an Appropriate Model for Time Management Based on Their Emotional Intelligence

AbstractThe purpose of present research was to study the relationship between emotionalintelligence and time management among the Islamic Azad University (IAU)managers to present an appropriate model for time management based on theiremotional intelligence. The population of the study consisted of all the IAUmanagers out of whom 554 were selected as sample applying cluster randomsampling. The research instruments were Cyberia - Shrink Emotional IntelligenceTest and a researcher-made questionnaire of time management. The result of linearmultivariate regression indicated that 1) There was a relationship between emotionalintelligence and time management, 2) time management model based on themanagers’ emotional intelligence was as follows:Time Management = 1.017 + 0.26 × self-awareness + 0.017 × Self-motivation
