Educational Institution and the Need to Adopt a comprehensive identity Policy to Strengthen National Identity in Iran

This article seeks to answer the question of how the institution of education can strengthen national identity in Iran. In general, according to this study, the institution of education as one of the most important factors in the transmission, development and promotion of culture, plays a key role in strengthening national identity and therefore no country, including Iran, can not benefit from this institution, To strengthen national identity. But the main point here is that this institution has weaknesses and shortcomings in the field of identity policy in the Islamic Republic, which has negatively affected its functioning in the field of promoting national identity. In general, the model of identity policy in the educational institution in the mentioned period, due to selectivity and one-sided emphasis on the Islamic dimension of national identity, has not been able to strengthen the tendency of many Iranians towards national identity as it should be. As a result, the strength of Iran's national identity will help. This has made it necessary to adopt a comprehensive and appropriate identity policy in this institution. Accordingly, the State of the Islamic Republic of Iran, as the custodian of education and training in Iran, can only adopt a non-selective identity policy in the institution of education in which attention is paid to all elements and components of Iran's national identity. It can help increase Iranians' belonging to their national identity and thus strengthen Iran's national identity. It should be noted that this article uses a descriptive-analytical method.
