Analysis of demographic characteristics of divorce in Ilam province

Abstract:

The purpose of this study is to investigate the quantitative and demographic situation of divorce in Ilam province during a 5-year process from 1392 to 1396. The research method is quantitative and the research design is descriptive based on census data and statistical study of documents in the Civil Registration Organization of Ilam Province. During the year, listed a total of 3624 cases of divorces registered in Ilam province. The rate of divorce has increased in these years (from 17 percent in 92 to 24 percent in 96). Other results include: the frequency of divorces recorded in urban areas relative to rural areas; the frequency of divorce rates in the city of Ilam compared to other cities; the number of divorces at the diploma level and in the age group of 25- 29 years old and 20-24 years old; abundance of divorces in the first six years of life; also, in terms of age difference, the highest number of registered divorces was in cases where the man was 0-5 years older than the woman. In the end, it is also presented, research suggestions and applied.
