Studying the temporal & spatial distribution of effective weather elements in Hamedan-Asadabad road by means of GIS technique
Some weather elements create dangerous conditions on the connectional road of Hamedan-Asadabad in which one of the heaviest traffic connections of Iran can be observed. Being aware of time and location of these factors can enhance the security of travelers and tourists and reduce the damage caused by accidents. This research aims to identify precarious sheets of freezing in the road With respect to time and location using distance inverse weighting method. After the extraction of data concerning the parameter, the critical atmospheric parts of the road were assessed and the potential dangers were identified. The results indicate that there were 67 frozen days at maximum in the west of the road annually and their locational distributions were the kilometers of 31 and 38. In these spots, freezing has been the most drastic the kilometers of 25 and 5 to the end of the road in December and January, respectively. In November, March and February, extreme freezing was observed in the kilometers of 1 to 9, and 23 and 28 kilometers to end of the road for more than 17 days respectively.
