Identifying the Constituent Elements of the Urban Pavements Based on Citizens' Subjective Perception (Case Study: Tarbiat and Valiasr Pavements in Tabriz)
The purpose of this study was to model the improvement of the perception quality of urban spaces using citizens 'sensory components to provide suggestions for organizing these spaces with regard to citizens' perceptions. This study is a quantitative research and in terms of data collection, it is a field research. The study population consisted of all audiences (residents, employees and visitors and total of 84240). Using Cochran's formula and simple random sampling, 380 people were selected as sample size. Questionnaire was used for data collection. The reliability of the questionnaire was calculated using Cronbach's alpha 0.893 for Tarbiat and 0.889 for Valiasr. The results of factor analysis test reduced 55 variables to 24 variables and 4 factors in both pedestrians. According to the loaded factors, according to the loaded variables, four factors can be named as the factors of visual sense, taste and smell, hearing sense and tactile sense. The four factors most important for walking the Valiasr Road are visual quality, taste, visual, and multiple. Overall, the four factors explained the ability to explain 85.1% of the variation of Tarbiat pedestrian and 72.06% of the variance in Valiasr pedestrian. Also the results of chi-square test and path analysis showed that there were differences between two pedestrians at the significance level of 0.95.
