Capacity Measurement of North Khorasan Folklore Stories in Creating Animated Characters Case Study: The Story of Hatem Taei
Understanding "what we have been" is crucial in gradually shaping what we want to be. Hence, our deep historical knowledge of personality and society is of particular importance in regulating desirability. The original roots of a culture can be recognized in the various folklore topics of each region. Especially stories, which are a rich source for recognizing and reviving the culture and customs of different nations. By recreating the stories and reviving its heroes in a new and practical format by which we may gain benefit in accordance with the spirits of nowadays’ children and adolescents, a suitable context is created, which not only acquaints the contemporary generation with its predecessors, but also fosters creativity toward a level that’s no need to repeat stereotypical stories from different cultures. Due to the worth-full heritage of fiction and poetry in Iranian literature, this study tries to examine the appropriate theatrical fantasy and exaggerated capacities of animation in the folk tales of North Khorasan with a descriptive-analytical method. Folklore stories of each region are filled with points to make and attitudes of the people about the universe and their surroundings, that each single one has innumerable cultural characteristics. North Khorasan province is one of the lands that has a rich culture and highly filled in the field of literature and oral and popular culture and has valuable works in this field. Therefore, it is important to focus on the local stories of each region and also to search for the possibility of creating animation heroes from these stories and if anything is found to extract them.
