The Methods of Making Models and Brands in the Cultural Diplomacy of the Islamic Republic of Iran for Confronting Iranophobia
Confronting Iranophobia has been one of the most important requirements facing the cultural diplomacy organizations in the past few decades. Keeping in view the project ‘Iranophobia’, aimed at tarnishing the image and prestige of the Islamic Republic of Iran at the international level, Tehran needs to focus on cultural diplomacy for confronting this phenomenon. Iran’s cultural diplomacy may be defined in the form of several patterns. The application of branding as a successful method at the level of domestic policy can be one such pattern. By the same token, at the level of international politics branding in the three fields of political and cultural personalities, tourism and civilizational Islam can play a great role in presenting a positive image of Iran to the international community.As per the guidelines provided by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, concentration on scientific progress and advancement and transformation of Iran into one of the main poles of science and knowledge is of great importance in providing a positive image of Iran to the world and neutralizing the effects of Iranophobia propagation. The authors suggest that being inspirational with regards to religion and religious teachings, in the form of presenting a multiplied identity, can pave the path for attracting great identities of West Asia towards Iran. The authors are also of the view that if and when the mediation is added to inspirational politics and religious democracy, Iran’s cultural diplomacy is bound to defeat the project “Iranophobia”.
