A study of Imam Khomeini's leadership style with emphasis on the analysis of leadership traits

Leadership style means the way leaders communicate with the world around them. Leadership style describes how leaders' interactions, behaviors, values, and self-made rules guide their individual reactions. Discovering Imam Khomeini's leadership style during the years of the Islamic Revolution can provide a better interpretation and understanding of the events of the Islamic Revolution. This article aims to discover the leadership style of Imam Khomeini (ra) in order to answer the question of what has been the leadership style of Imam Khomeini (ra) during the years of the Islamic Revolution in the framework of Trait analysis by Herman method? The present article uses the method of content analysis to analyze the lectures and interviews of Imam Khomeini (ra) during the Islamic Revolution. The results of the research show that the humanist view of man has not had the capacity to explain some of the attributes of Imam Khomeini. As a result, according to the personality of Imam Khomeini (ra) whose divine and Islamic character and attitude are dominant, instead of the adjective "self-confidence", "reliance on God"; Instead of the adjective "need for power", "doing divine duty" and instead of the adjective "belief in the ability to control events", it is the explanation of the Imam's belief in "divine will" that can correctly explain the Imam's leadership style.
