The role of major powers in developments in international law; With an emphasis on Russia and the United States
Some Experts in International Relations, Such as Realists, Believe That International Law Has Been Formed and Developed in Order to Achieve the Goals of the Great Powers and in Its Shadow. In other words, the Great Powers Play a Decisive Role in Shaping, Consolidating and Protecting International Law. In Order to Examine the Present Issue, the Question Arises as to How the Great Powers of the International System Play a Role in the Evolution of International Law. The Great Powers Seem to Play a Key Role in This by Resorting to the Various Capabilities They Have, Through Institutionalization, the Formation of Treaties and the Normalization The Purpose of This Article Is to Examine the Role and Function of Major Powers, Especially Russia and the United States, in How International Law Is Created and Promoted. In This Regard, It Is Tried to Examine the Role of International Powers in the Creation and Expansion of International Law on the Basis of a Descriptive-Analytical Method and Using Historical Data.
