Thematic Analysis of the Obstacles to the Secularization of the Islamic Political System in the Thoughts of Imam Khomeini

In Imam Khomeini's view, the religion of Islam theoretically and practically meets human needs. Contrary to this idea, there are conflicting views that at the domestic level and in the international system seek to introduce Pure Mohammadi Islam as a purely spiritual religion and to point to the inefficiency of religion in various social spheres, including politics. Imam Khomeini, by accurately recognizing and introducing pure Islam, resisted this kind of conception of religion, and thus prevented the religion of Islam from deviating like Christianity, and customary traditions to enter the social arena instead of religion. Given the importance of this issue, the article tries to answer the question using the method of Thematic Analysis and library studies: What are the obstacles to the secularization of the political system in Islam from Imam Khomeini's point of view? Research findings emphasize that in Imam Khomeini's thinking, obstacles such as correct knowledge of religious principles, avoidance of distortion, and correct and logical interpretation of Islamic principles, following the leadership and active presence of clerics in society, prevent the secularization of the Islamic political system.
