Investigating the Relationship between Passive Defense and Crisis Management

The purpose of this research is considering the relationship between passive defense and crisis management in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province. This study was a descriptive one in method and functional in purpose and correlation in procedure. Statistical society of research includes all workers in the governor-generalship of province, 478 employees that based on a Cochrane’s model, a sample of 214 people of them was selected randomly and data were gathered by using two self-made passive defense questionnaire, based on blend template with 28 questions and standard crisis management questionnaire, with 47 questions. The data was analyzed by using the SPSS software, and descriptive and inferential tests include correlation coefficients, T - test and regression analysis of variance were investigated. The findings showed that the amount of passive defense and crisis management in governor-generalship of province above the average, and there was a positive relationship between passive defense and preparedness before the crisis with the correlation coefficients 0.4280, preparedness during the crisis with the correlation coefficients 0.291 and preparedness after the crisis with the correlation coefficients 0.120. Also, among the components of passive defense, respectively, health care, information technology and cyber and support and education had the most anticipated power for crisis management. As well as, no difference in terms of demographic feature - was observed. The results indicated that in addition to the positive and strong relationship between passive defense and crisis management, strengthening the passive defense in governor-generalship also would lead to improve the crisis management
