The Impact of the Extent of Using Virtual Social Networks on Social Networks Content

The use of modern communication technologies, specially, the virtual social networks have had very fast growth rates and influence in society in recent decades. Regarding this fact, better and scientific identification of these networks is truly needed. So, the main purpose of the present study is assessing the relationship between the extent of using virtual social networks and their content. This survey research is conducted by adopting a quantitative method. In order to collect the data, the researcher designed a questionnaire. In order for the questionnaire to be reliable, Cronbach alpha technique, and to be valid, face validity approach were utilized. Students of the Shahre-Kord University were the statistical population of the research. Based on Cochran formula, the sample size was equal to 368 that were increased to 400 to be more certain. The utilized sampling method in this research was multi-stage clustering method. SPSS software was used to analyze the data at two descriptive and inferential statistical levels. Findings show that social networks with joke, sexual matters, and entertainment content have meaningful relation with positive direction and … that proves the research hypothesis. The analysis reviles that the contents which have a meaningful relation with the extent of using social virtual networks, are among social damages and this shows the destructive use of these networks.
