Study and Comparison of Concept of Solipsism in Thought of Husserl and Wittgenstein
Solipsists maintain that their inner self is based on their experience and cognition and only this cognition is reliable and authentic. The reduction of the universe into human subjectivity is the beginning of solipsist-based theories. Therefore, most philosophers often seek its roots in idealistic ideas. Husserl and Wittgenstein, two influential contemporary philosophers have always faced the challenge of Solipsism because of the idealistic aspects of their thinking. Since these two have gone through different periods in their intellectual life, their approaches to this challenge have some differences and similarities. In this study, by examining and analyzing the intellectual foundations of each, we have deeply explored and applied their approaches to the concept of Solipsism.
