Investigating the effect of emotional intelligence and spiritual intelligence on job satisfaction and turnover intention(Case study: General Department of Economic Affairs and Finance of Tehran Province

Abstract:

The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of emotional intelligence and spiritual intelligence on job satisfaction and turnover intention (Case study: General Directorate of Economic Affairs and Finance of Tehran Province). This research is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive-survey in terms of nature. Research data were collected through Likert five-choice questions in the research questionnaire. In the present study, in order to analyze the data obtained from the questionnaire, SPSS statistical software and PLS software in the form of two parts of descriptive and inferential statistics have been used according to the statistical needs. The statistical population of the study is all employees of the General Department of Economic Affairs and Finance of Tehran Province, whose number is 730 people. The Cochran's formula is used to determine the sample size. Thus, the sample size of 252 people was calculated. Since all members of the sample community are employees of the General Department of Economic Affairs and Finance of Tehran Province, the community is considered homogeneous and sampling will be done by simple random method. The results showed that emotional intelligence has a significant effect on job satisfaction (0.391) in the staff of the General Department of Economic Affairs and Finance of Tehran Province. Emotional intelligence has a significant effect on turnover intention (0.570) in the staff of the General Department of Economic Affairs and Finance of Tehran Province. Spiritual intelligence has a significant effect on job satisfaction (0.622) in the staff of the General Department of Economic Affairs and Finance of Tehran Province. Spiritual intelligence has a significant effect on turnover intention (0.356) in the staff of the General Department of Economic Affairs and Finance of Tehran Province.
