Analyzing the Influential Factors of Crisis Management in Maritime Transport Accidents in Iran
Crisis management is an essential part of strategic management of maritime transport projects and every organization has to repeatedly learn its techniques and skills due to the formation of various crises. Hence, the present study aims to analyze the influential factors on crisis management in accidents related to maritime transport in Iran.
This research is applied on the basis of its purpose and descriptive-survey in terms of the method. The statistical population of this study consists of 80 vessels in Bandar Abbas, Chabahar, Bushehr, Bandar Imam Khomeini and ten companies active in the field of maritime transport. Eighty people were selected to answer the questionnaire by simple random sampling. Descriptive statistics, inferential statistics and Friedman test were conducted with SPSS software version 20 to analyze the data of this study. The data collection tool was a questionnaire whose reliability was based on Cronbach's alpha and combined reliability, and its validity was confirmed based on convergent and face validity. Data analysis was performed by t-test and multivariate regression.
Analysis of statistical data indicates that more than 80% of respondents in the statistical population have confirmed the impact of software, hardware, environment, human element and bio-power on maritime transport accidents.
The results of this study reveal that software, hardware, biological and environmental factors have the ability to predict the degree of crisis management in maritime transport accidents.
