Content Analysis of Published Articles Focusing on the Topic of Coronavirus Epidemic and TourismCase Study: The Top Five Tourism Magazines in the World

The spread of the corona virus, as the greatest challenge of the 21st century, has faced many challenges in various industries, and tourism is no exception to that. Many believe that this industry, according to this pandemic, will experience changes in immediate future. Therefore, in this study, we decided to review the research process in this field to achieve a better understanding of the issues that occurred during the pandemic and its future developments. In this regard, researchers analysed the overt and covert content of articles published by the top five tourism magazines indexed from September 2019 to July 2021, to answer the research questions. Using the non-probability sampling method, 122 articles were studied in the explicit content analysis section and 40 articles in covert content analysis section. In the explicit analysis section, quantitative SPSS and qualitative Max QDA software has been used and the results were presented in the form of tables and diagrams. Also, in the covert content analysis section, after initial coding and categorizing them by Max QDA qualitative software, the researchers achieved two conceptual units of consequences of the coronavirus pandemic and possible solutions to deal with it and they presented the results in the form of diagrams.
