The preventive parade of two criminological theories – Labeling and Differential association - in the Islamic Penal Code of Iran (1392)
The effect of criminology on criminal law is indisputable. Most of the responses method to crime – post criminal – and most of the criminal law institutions directly has based on criminal thoughts. In other words, criminology findings changed from mere theoretical and appeared in legislations. Institutions such as exemption from penalty, stay of execution of punishment, postponement of issuance of sentence, system of semi-freedom, release on parole system and to balance punishment with convicts' personality with the aim to be more effective, are the most outstanding of these findings. In the history of Iran's legislation, Penal code the year 1392 is outstanding. Most of the institution predicted in the Code has originated in criminological theories specifically – Labeling and Differential association. Criminal legislators of Iran has applied criminological achievements in the best way , sometimes converting the sort of punishment and sometimes decreasing it, to balance the penal with convicts' personality. Exemption from penalty, stay of execution of punishment, postponement of issuance of sentence, system of semi-freedom and release on parole system are some of these Institutions. Although application of these institutions are subject to some qualifications; being in the criminal code indicate that the legislators have notice criminological findings.
