Iranian Primary School in Trabzon (1885-1941)
Explains the process of the establishment of the Iranian school and problems and obstacles the founders faced.

Rapid changes in the style of school education in the western world and the initiatives by their governments, the private sector, and the dignitary in setting up modern schools, Iranians of Trabzan were encouraged to Set up their own primary school. The curricula, assessment procedure, teacher selection, age and gender of students, architecture of these modern schools, marked a sharp difference with the traditional maktabs. The school trained a great number of the children of different sectors of the Iranian community in the city long before modern schooling started in Iran.
