Studying Media Literacy level and the Ability of Religious Content Production in Cyberspace by Clerics of Qom Seminary
Familiarity of clerics with media skills, in other words, acquiring media literacy, has enabled clerics (seminary students) to deal with the message consciously in order to critically examine it and study the reasons for producing the message according to the attitude of media owners. By producing content in cyberspace, they can use the media as a powerful and effective tool and an irreplaceable opportunity to guide the audience to Sharia. Therefore, this study was conducted to investigate the level of media literacy, critical media literacy and identify the ability of students to produce religious content in cyberspace. Data were analyzed by survey method, questionnaire technique and two-stage cluster sampling. The results showed that most students were above average,in terms of media literacy and critical view, and their ability to produce content is average and as expected. Also, there is a significant correlation between the variables of content production ability and media literacy (r = 0.391, sig. = 0.000). Furthermore, the results of multivariate regression showed that the critical view had the highest correlation with media literacy and content production ability had the least correlation with this variable.
