Investigating and comparing the relationship between metacognitive beliefs and depression in divorced and married women in Bokan
The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between metacognitive beliefs and depression in divorced and married women in Bokan. The research method is descriptive-correlational. The statistical population of this study consisted of all divorced and married women in Buchan who were selected through combined sampling method including multi-stage random cluster for married women (260 people) and available sampling for divorced women (65 people). They answered the Metacognitive Beliefs Questionnaire (Wells and Hutton, 1997) and the Depression Inventory (Beck, 1961). The reliability of the questionnaires in the present study through Cronbach's alpha method was 82/0, respectively. And 87/0 Was obtained. Independent t-test and Pearson correlation coefficient were used to analyze the data. The results showed that there is a significant and positive relationship between depression and metacognitive beliefs as well as the rate of depression and metacognitive beliefs among divorced and married women; The components of uncontrollability and risk and cognitive certainty of metacognitive beliefs are significantly associated with depression among divorced and married women. Based on the findings of the present study, it can be said that the use of positive metacognitive beliefs has a significant effect on the mental state of divorced and married women and is widely used in the treatment of psychological problems such as depression.
