The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of the social adjustment program in reducing depression and promoting the resilience of soldier’s. The research method was quasi-experimental with pre-test-post-test design with a control group. The study population included all conscripts of the West Azarbaijan Police Headquarters in 2019-2020. From this population, 30 of these qualified volunteers were included by available sampling method and by random assignment in two groups of 15 people including One experimental group and one control group were replaced. The measuring instruments in this study were Beck Depression Inventory (1961) and Connor and Davidson Resilience Questionnaire (2003). The experimental group was trained in 10 sessions of 90 minutes for 5 consecutive weeks (two sessions per week) of Najjari et al (2018) and the control group did not receive any intervention. The obtained data were analyzed using univariate analysis of covariance. Findings showed that after the intervention, the effect of social adjustment training program on reducing depression and improving resilience of conscripts was significant (p <0.05). Based on the research results, it can be said that training in social adjustment program in the form of developing and holding workshops for conscripts can lead to improving their mental health and benefiting from the desired and required variables during military service.
