The Effect of Lightening on Urban Security

This research was descriptive-analytical with survey design. The purpose of this research was to investigate the effect of lighting on urban security and tourism activity in Tabriz. To do this a Likert-type questionnaire was developed and distributed among 110 visitors by the researcher himself. The independent variables were tourists’ security and their length of stay in Tabriz and the dependent variable was lighting. SPSS was used to analyze the data. Results revealed that more than 90% of tourists agreed with the effect of lighting on urban and tourist security and tourist's length of stay. T-test statistic also showed significant relationship between lighting and urban security and tourist's length of stay.
