Evaluation of Community-Based Components in Residential Complexes with the Aim of Improving the Quality of Life (Case Study: the Four Hundred Naziabad Residential Complex)

Housing is one of the main pillars of family formation and is a factor in the formation of relationships between family members. The location of the residential environment lays the foundation for the connection between human beings and the community around them. Furthermore, the residential environment is the main factor in the growth and formation of human personality in dealing with their fellow human beings in society and prepares them to enter society. Residential complexes are considered as the most complex and basic function in the field of architecture of the last two centuries and can have many effects on the behavior of residents and their relationships. In order to promote social relationships in residential complexes, community-based components should be explored. The main research question addressed the factors affecting the presentation of a community-based model. Therefore, in order to answer the research question, first, the main factors related to the subject including environment, place, identity, territory and social interactions were examined and then secondary factors including neighbor affiliation, communication, collective architecture, green space and security were considered. In order to investigate the case study, the 400 Naziabad residential complex was selected and a suitable questionnaire distributed among its target residents. Statistical diagrams were used to analyze the questionnaire to reach a logical inference of the data. For this purpose, a quantitative diagram was used. It should be noted that the research method in this article was a combination with a case study, and the collection, analysis and combination of quantitative and qualitative information on the subject of study was carried out in order to identify the research problem. Finally, the necessary conclusions were presented.
