Ranking of urban areas in terms of social sustainability indicators(Case study: Semnan 2nd District)

Rapid urbanization in developing countries has many negative consequences, including: increasing urban poverty, environmental pollution, such as air pollution, water pollution, urban and industrial waste, urban deprivation, marginalization and so on. What has emerged in recent years among scientific circles and formal institutions to achieve sustainability is its theme in terms of sustainable development, sustainable urban development and, finally, sustainable city; for this purpose, many international associations of the type of sustainability in cities, especially sustainability Social issues are being examined and they are trying to implement it by formulating policies and guidelines. The purpose of this research is to rank 5 districts in the 7th district of Tehran in terms of social sustainability indicators. This research is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive-analytical method. Data collection method is a questionnaire. The statistical population of the population of the 7th region of Tehran was obtained using the Cochran formula. A sample size of 380 people was obtained. For data analysis, the mean test was used in SPSS software and Shannon and Vicore entropy methods in EXCEL software. Results show that among the 5 regions of the 7th area of the city Tehran, District 2 won the highest score, and then areas 4, 1, 3 and 5.
