A New Approach to Translating Famous Qur'anic Asma' Al-Af'al in the Light of Analysis of Individual Words(Case study: translations of Elahi Ghomshei, Ayati and Makarem Shirazi)
The Holy Qur'an is a universal and immortal book and is addressed to all human beings. The importance of the access of non-Arabic-speaking audiences of the Holy Quran to the content and serious purpose of Allah from the verses of the Quran has caused the Holy Qur'an to be translated into other languages. In this regard, the translator's attention to individual words will be an effective approach to provide an accurate translation of the words of the Holy Qur'an (words of God). In this paper, through an analytical-critical method and using the method of analysis of individual words, Asma' al-Af'al (names of actions) in the verses of the Qur'an in three translations of Elahi Ghomshei, Ayati and Makarem Shirazi are evaluated. The Persian translators of the Holy Qur'an have made an admirable effort in transferring the serious meaning of Asma' al-Af'al to Persian. However, the application of the method of analysis of individual words shows that translators have not been very successful in choosing Persian equivalences for Asma' al-Af'al in the Qur'an and have only reached the literal meaning of these words of the Qur'an. The aim of this research is a translation based on modern semantics so that Persian-speaking audiences approach the serious meaning of words.
