The Effect of Teaching Maternal-Fetal Attachment on the Boredom in First Pregnant Mothers
First pregnancy can have damages and psychological as well as emotional distress for the mothers because of unfamiliarity with pregnancy experiences. Therefore the objective of the present study was to investigate the effect of teaching maternal-fetal attachment on the boredom in first pregnant mothers.
the research method was quasi-experimental with pretest, posttest, control group and forty-five-day follow-up period design. The statistical population included all first pregnant mothers in the city of Tehran in 2016. The samples under study were 30 first pregnant mothers with the age range of 25-35 years old who were selected through non-random sampling method and they were randomly replaced into experimental and control groups. After selecting the sample size and replacing them into experimental and control groups, the experimental group received nine ninety-minute sessions of comprehensive teaching of maternal-fetal attachment the embryo in a month while the control group didn't receive such intervention during the study process. The applied questionnaires in the present study included boredom scale (Fahlman et al, 2011). The data from the study were analyzed trough repeated measurement ANOVA method.
the results of data analysis showed that teaching maternal-fetal attachment has significantly influenced boredom (p<0.001).
