Abstract:

In this paper, a class E/F5 amplifier is designed and analyzed at 1 MHz frequency. A new technique is presented in the proposed circuit, in which a load capacitor is placed in the output circuit of the amplifier. The proposed technique has improved the performances of the proposed circuit, such as higher maximum frequency and lower switch voltage. In the designed circuit, the IRF510 transistor is used as the switch and the circuit is simulated using PSpice software. The proposed circuit is analyzed considering ZVS (zero voltage switching) and ZDS (zero derivative switching) conditions, which the simulations result has confirmed the analyzed results. The results show efficiency of 92.8%, output power of 30W, and normalized voltage of 2.8 which shows good improvement, compared to the other amplifiers. The proposed amplifier with such superior results can be considered as a good candidate for the inverter applications in the military vehicles.
