The impact of information technology and empowerment on employee creativity with the mediating role of job involvement
Due to the ever-expanding knowledge and information technology flows, organizations need employees who are able to identify and try to solve the problems of the enterprise by employing new technologies and organizational knowledge and using personal creativity. This important process will come about when most employees are willingly committed to their jobs. The present study seeks to investigate the impact of empowerment and information technology on employee creativity through the mediating role of job involvement.
The statistical population of this research is law enforcement personnel of Mazandaran province. 116 individuals were selected as the sample. The data collection tool was four researcher-made questionnaires that were analyzed by SPSS16 software after determining the reliability and distribution coefficients. Statistical tests, correlation coefficient and regression analysis were used in this study.
The results show that job involvement plays a part in mediating between empowerment, information technology and creativity in employees. At the end, suggestions for solutions are presented. Key word: Information technology, empowerment, job involvement, creativity.
