The study of socio-cultural factors affecting suicide in Mazandaran province and social security

The main goal of this study is to investigate socio-cultural factors affecting suicide in Mazandaran and its impact on social security. This is an applied study in terms of purpose and descriptive-survey in terms of data collecting method. The statistical population includes all 18 to 30 year old people in Sari, of which 385 were selected as the sample. Data were collected using Researcher made a questionnaire and the results were analyzed using correlation and regression tests. The results indicate that cultural and social factors significantly influence suicidal tendencies among young people. In addition, social security is affected by suicidal tendencies.
