Developing a model for empowering high school principals in Isfahan
The purpose of this study is to design and explain the empowerment model of secondary school teachers of Isfahan City. A combination of the qualitative method and Delphi technique was used to extract and identify the components of manager empowerment and quantitative statistics was used to test the model. The statistical population consisted of all managers of different levels, including all managers of the research, human resource planning and training, and secondary education as well as the high school principals of Isfahan (908 managers) in 2019. Sample size was determined 270 managers using proportional stratified method from among both staff and line managers. Research tools included interviews and questionnaires that were validated by experts and through Cronbach's alpha test (a=0.80). Results showed that manager empowerment indicators and components can be classified into 5 dimensions (knowledge and awareness with an average of 4.18, attitude with an average of 2.91, individual dimension with an average of 2.83, organizational dimension with an average of 2.66, and skill dimension with an average of 2.43), 10 components, and 61 indicators.
